Your host runs Bark Point Ventures, a vacation rental management & concierge company that specializes in properties on Lake Superior's South Shore. The South Shore
The south shore is truly a place to get away from it all, but not so far from modern conveniences that getting food and gas feel like a chore. The guest book contains tips on all the incredible outdoor activities, local arts, and places to get groceries, dine out, grab a drink, etc. This is truly a year-round destination, whether you enjoy outdoor activities, local cuisine, art, or simply the company of friends & family in one of the most beautiful locations in the northern U.S.

The property is a perfect mid point between the most popular sights & towns in the area. It's less than 10 minutes from Washburn (which has a full-service grocery, nice range of restaurants, local shops, marina and beaches). It's about 20 minutes from Ashland, 20 minutes from Bayfield, 15 minutes from Cornucopia.

And if you happen to work up a thirst or appetite, the wonderful Pub & Grub bar/restaurant is a short walk (or ATV/snowmobile ride) from the cabin.

The cabin features an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with a comfy couch & chair, dining table with seating for four, fully-outfitted kitchen, and high-speed wifi that makes streaming your favorite content on the tv or your preferred device a breeze. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and second bedroom has two twin beds (all bedding & mattresses are also brand new!). The full bath has a combo tub/shower. The cabin's set up is perfect for families as well as small groups of friends.

Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here!

This home is in the north woods: seasonal bugs/pests can be expected.
This home is dog friendly: While we make a considerable effort to clean up pet hair between guests, there may still be a few stray hairs in the home.

As a guest of this cabin, you'll find ski-in/ski-out access and barbecue grills. The front desk is open around the clock.
