Lovely, cosy and superb breakfast

I really, really loved this hotel. You can say what you want about the size -- but if you know that going in, what's there to complain about?? I also think they've made excellent use of the space and didn't find it too small at all -- it's cosy, the bed is extremely comfortable and the breakfast is miles above a standard American breakfast! Big, big ups from me.

One of the coolest hotels!

Our room was incredibly beautiful, clean and innovative. I felt like a child. We wnt up to the roof top which had a great view, unfortunately we ate outside of the hotel so Im unsure if the food and drinks were good but everything seemed amazing. I would 10/10 recommend

Great central place to stay!

I had a quick stay to do some research at the library of congress. It was a great location so close to L’enfant and staying alone I was pleased by the comfiness of the room. I had intended to leave my bags and come back later in the day to check in but they were able to check me in when I arrived (an exception I was assured but very kind none the less) all the hotel staff I interacted with was lovely. The room was fun, clean, and very cozy. Would absolutely stay again.

Great hotel at a great price. Very close to the L’Enfant Metro station, the Air & Space Museum, and about a 12-minute walk from the Wharf. Rooms are small (about the size of a standard cruise ship cabin), but thoughtfully-designed. They include a hair dryer, but no coffee or tea. I didn’t find the latter problematic and this is not meant as a complaint, merely an observation. The bed is comfortable. The room is an appropriate size for one person or a couple. Be sure to check out the room photos online before booking so you know what you’re getting. It’s very European—I’d definitely stay here again.

Great stay

I traveled with my son on a weekend trip to DC. We made sure we had a king bed since we knew we would be sharing. However, we were quite surprised to find the entire bathroom was made from frosted glass walls. We joked and laughed while respecting each others bathroom privacy. It could definitely be weird and uncomfortable in certain situations if you aren’t away before hand. The staff were all friendly. Only real complaint, we arrived late from our flight and the attendant didn’t mention we had to scan once on the elevator. We rode it a couple of times in our sleepy state before a nice customer joined us on the elevator and saw us struggling and mentioned it 😁. We were good after that!

The hotel was fun, very conveniently located to the National Mall and other sites. The tech they incorporated worked well (controlling things in the room with an app or ipad). The only thing I would change is a little more privacy between the bathroom and main area in the room itself.

Great hotel

We think we've found our favourite hotel company. Super modern room with great technology. Clean & warm - even during snowstorm Blair in Jan '25. We loved our stay and would 100% return here or any other CitizenM. The food in the restaurant was great also which was needed when most places were shut during the snowday. The listing advertises that their rooms are smaller than most hotels but after staying after our NYC stay, the room was a really good size and much more spacious in DC than we expected.

Perfect, but not for everyone.

This property is great, but definitely not for every traveller. It's very tech forward and caters to a very niche traveller. Great for singles and couples for a quick overnight or weekend visit to the city. Location was great with super easy access to the wharf and national mall. Spitting distance to L'Enfant Plaza making travel to and from DCA a breeze.

CitizenM was a great hotel. Rooms are small but perfect for 2 people. We loved how you can control everything from an Ipad. Its very close to the L'Enfant metro. Close to the the National Air and Space Museum.and 0.9 miles to the Washington Monument. Food options are scarce for the area but the hotel has a restaurant and door dash is available. We felt very safe in the area. The staff was excellent. Very helpful. Definitely recommend and will stay at other CitizenM hotels given the opportunity.
