The location was great and they have a lovely lounge area with a fireplace. But beware there is no elevator and some of the rooms seem cheap because you have to share the bathroom with 2 other people! We made that mistake and had to pay extra for another room with a private bath. The water was not very hot the last day we were there. Staff was very friendly

I booked this place because of the reviews and the charm of the inn. However it might be better to stay there in warmer months. The bathroom in our room was extremely cold with no hot water. It was very uncomfortable to even wash hands due to how cold the water and the bathroom was. If we were staying more then one night we would of absolutely asked to switch rooms. I believe they knew about how cold that bathroom was because when we went into the room the door was shut closed, and it had a shield around the vent to help keep warm. That room during the winter should honestly be closed.

Great location in downtown DC. Nice and historic - it is made from 3 1880's row houses and converted to a hotel. It has a very nice upscale restaurant, which seems quite popular with the locals.

The hotel is funky and eccentric in a good way. There are winding stairways, wonderful art, very unique hotel. The restaurant was stellar. The funky part was that there was no hot water in the evening, but it was back in the morning. In another hotel, it would have been a deal breaker, but here it we chalked it up to its eccentric nature. I would recommend staying here.
