Whether you are looking to get away from it all and relax in the country or have the thrill of a lifetime with your family, this is the place to be! This is a place like no other. Lots of history on that hill as it is still a family farm that has been in our family since 1862. If it could talk you would hear of stories about gathering cows , cow whips popping,hunting gators or maybe deer an turkeys. You would hear about the hard work and struggles that it took to keep it all going . One thing our family had was faith in God. He is why this place is still standing. We love this place we ask you to treat it gently with love and care. I hope that each one of you leave here feeling better than you came .
The Space:
In 1959 the house was built by long time cattle rancher and true Florida Cracker, Quet (Pronounced “Queet”) Boyett. Alongside his wife of 60 years, Frieda Boyett, they made the house a home. The home is among several in the community of Clay Sink. Centuries and generations have raised kids, crops and livestock here. The house was recently renovated in 2022. New furniture and decor has breathed new life into this true farmhouse while keeping many of the original elements of the home. For example, On the kitchen cabinets you can see Quets cattle brand he placed there himself.
Two bedrooms with plenty of space and storage. A full bathroom in between the two, complete with shower, toilet, sink and a vanity space. The front bedroom has a california king bed Tempurpedic, back bedroon has a split king bed. The front living room has a double with a twin bed inderneath on the floor for extra guests or your kiddos.
Enjoy a meal at the dining room table or a quick bite at the high top in the kitchen. The kitchen is complete with an oven and stove, sink, microwave, coffee pot and keurig. Feel free to cook and enjoy a meal where the family did so many times.
The den is a cozy and comfortable space in the house with a large couch and electric fireplace. Watch a movie on netflix , play card or board games and chat with your traveling companions in this space. You'll notice out of the back window we have a corn feeder that feeds many wild turkey, sandhill cranes and deer. At any point throughout your stay you can enjoy the sight of these animals from the comfort of the couch.There are also several books for you to read and enjoy.
The front porch and back patio ( under the old oak tree) are very special to the home and unique to one another. The back patio provides a place gather at the picnic table for a meal or a spot to see the feeder and the backwoods. The cook shed provides a place to eat with 4 stools and Weber Charcoal grill .The front porch is a sanctuary to relax and unwind. Grab a coffee or tea,and a book and take a seat on the porch swing built by Quet himself. ***Your furry friends are welcome to travel to Quet’s place with you! We charge a $99 pet fee to keep the house clean for all guests.*** Dogs only under 40 lbs ***, No Cats or Birds or any other animals****

Guest Access:
You will have full access to the home and front and backyard . Please do not go past the hedge toward the red barn or over to the yellow barn , hurricane debris is still there. We are in the process of clean up. There is a large yellow barn in the front of the property that is used for storage and farm Equipment and will remain locked. In the backyard you will see the original barn the family built in the 1800s. While we encourage you to view the barn from a far and enjoy the characteristics of it we do ask that you do not touch or enter any part of it for your own safety. The barn is a very precious part of the families history and we want to keep it preserved for many years to come.

We have three, actively recording cameras, located on the carport. These cameras record video and audio. All devices are on the exterior of the property.
