The birthday bash

Great property in a very new area, the house had plenty of room for everything we wanted to do, cooking and playing. We had a great time and will remember it fondly as our little home away from home

We want to write an honest review, as there are only 2 others on this home. We drove 6 hours from Ohio and we had not received any check-in information by the time we made it to New York. I sent a message and then received the code to the lock box 1 hour before the stated check-in time. Upon arrival, we noticed damage to the interior. Scuffed up walls, broken floor tiles in the bathroom, towel bars and TP holder had clearly been knocked off the walls a dozen times, stained carpets in the bedrooms.....and the smell, especially in the master bedroom was extremely overwhelming. There were also dirty pots in the cabinets. We took pictures of everything, every ding, every scratch...everything. This isn't our first time renting a home, so we know the usual check-in. Usually includes a binder about the home, the rules, check in/check out do's and don'ts, trash days, etc. None of that was provided. After check out I received a message.."Hi, our cleaners reported a missing pillowcase and chipped door." with a picture attached. Then, "Pillowcase has been found. What happened to the door?" Luckily we took those pictures because we were able to send proof that we were not responsible for the damage. But even after sending proof, all we got was a "Thanks for confirmation." No apology for accusing us of damaging the property. So if you stay here, beware. Overall, the house served it's purpose and gave us somewhere to sleep. The neighbors were nice, neighborhood was quiet.
