This is a great location. Staff ate courteous, friendly, helpful and efficient. Were able to chevk in slightly earlier too. Third time staying here because it's slways good. Lambton Quay, a 2 minute walk has Airport buses right there.

A modern hotel in the city center. I am judging the property largely on our 26th floor room, which was very large (a junior suite?) with sweeping views. We loved it!

Always fantastic at the James Cook, fast and efficient check in service. The room was perfect for us as a couple. Great service at the restaurant and delicious food in the buffet! Easy walking distance to tsb and the waterfront.

Rooms were tired and had worn carpet through to underlay. Wooden surfaces very worn so in need to a general upgrade. In saying that, common areas were good and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Water pressure and temperature of the shower etc wer4e he best I have ever experienced in a hotel.

Decent hotel but has some quirks. Parking is a challenge and have to get a different parking pass every day; elevators are quirky - take one to go to your floor - a different one (which is also used by the public that cuts through from one street to the other) to go out to the street to walk around; room was nice and spacious but the bathroom configuration was odd. Breakfast food was so so - it came with our room but definitely not worth 38.00 they were charging.
