Nuthatch at Kittisford Barton in Somerset with hot tub

Nuthatch at Lantern and Larks is one of five off-grid safari tents, set amongst the rolling Somerset hills near Wellington. A short drive from Blackdown Hills National Landscape, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to country walks and patchwork scenery. Overlooking the wildflower meadow, this peaceful retreat is perfect for couples, families and dogs alike. Complete with a private wood-fired hot tub and unlimited logs, it's the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature.

Each of our off-grid safari tents at Lantern & Larks, accommodates six guests across three bedrooms. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bedroom. Inside, there is an open plan living area with a spacious kitchen featuring a double gas hob, two cool boxes, a dining table, a comfortable seating area and a wood-burning stove. Each safari tent also has its own private bathroom facilities with running water, as well as its own outdoor seating area with a firepit and unlimited logs included.
We provide rechargeable lanterns and hot water bottles to keep you cosy in the evenings - though it's always worth packing for a little bit of everything when it comes to British weather.

Each of our safari tents at Kittisford Barton has a two-person wood-fired hot tub for your exclusive use. These are the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the morning birdsong and views of the wildflower meadow, or experience the wonderfully starlit night's sky whilst on your own secluded haven.

We have chosen this secluded spot on the Somerset-Devon border as it oozes peace and tranquillity. The generous spacing between tents enhances the feeling of seclusion, while offering the perfect balance between the great outdoors and modern comforts. With the Blackdown National Landscape creating an incredible backdrop, it's an ideal base for exploring scenic walking trails and picturesque Somerset villages.

Join one of the many walking routes criss crossing the Blackdown Hills and immerse yourself in the wooded valleys or riverside scenery.

Fabulous!

We had our family (all 19 of us) holiday in 3 tents at Kittisford Barton. It's a great, out of the way location. The tents are very comfortable and servisable. We appreciated having hot water in the shower and for washing up, and a toilet. We loved having no electricity, just candles and lamps. And the hot tubs were a great asset. Martin, the site manager was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, if needed. We would absolutely recommend glamping here :) I'm sure we'll be back sometime...
