Wellington Cottage - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
Wellington Cottage is a charming period coastal cottage, situated on the grade II listed High Street, in the picturesque seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea. Great care has been taken by its owners for use as their family holiday home. There's plenty of living space for six (or seven guests if children) with a spacious open plan sitting area, dining area and a lovely kitchen. Upstairs there are three well designed bedrooms and a family bathroom and ground floor shower room.
There is a fully enclosed South facing private courtyard garden with opportunity for outdoor dining. A short walk away is the Buttlands, with the excellent Crown Hotel and Globe Inn offering great local food and ales. The gorgeous sandy coast and all of Wells' amenities are also within easy walking distance. Look out for the llamas on their daily walk in this vicinity.
Ground Floor
Entrance from the back door.
Kitchen: a well-equipped kitchen with appliances which include a dishwasher, a fridge with ice-box, double electric oven with a halogen hob, Krupps coffee machine and there is a a washing machine and drier in the garden shed.. There is a door leading out to the pretty courtyard garden.
Shower room: Shower, WC and basin.
Dining area: large family dining table which can comfortably seat six/seven guests and front door.
Sitting area: 2 comfy sofas, chair and foot rest with a wood burner, a TV with freeview.
First Floor
The staircase leads up from the kitchen and has a hand rail.
Bedroom 1: a beautifully presented spacious room with a double bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, window to the front of the cottage.
Bedroom 2: a lovely room with twin beds, bedside table and lamp in between and chest of drawers. Door leading off to a en-suite WC and basin.
Bedroom 3: twin beds with bedside table and lamp in between, sofa bed under a dorma window (which may accommodate a third child on request at the time of booking), looking over the courtyard garden. This room has very low ceilings, so suitable for small children.
Family bathroom: Bath with shower over, hand basin, WC and chrome heated towel rail.
Outside
Whilst there is no designated parking outside the cottage you are able to load and unload and park overnight between 1930 - 0730. There is free parking around the Buttlands, a short walk away or in any of the town's car parks.
There is a lovely south facing enclosed courtyard garden with outside furniture, perfect for outdoor dining. Please note you have pedestrian access through the back gardens of the houses in the terrace to access the road.
It only takes a few minutes to walk to the picturesque Buttlands and the great selection of shops and places to eat on offer in Wells. The new Co-Op is literally a minutes away and the quay may easily be reached on foot too.
