I used the heat and not the ac. This worked fine. The manager came in the room and was helpful. It is an old property and butts on the mass pike so it is a very noisy sleep. I woke at 2 and was unable to return to sleep. 💤 however it is cheap clean and the owners lovely.

The Pleasant Valley Motel is your typical inexpensive MaPa Motel, but this place needs a major facelift inside and out, from the peeling wallpaper to the rusted out old rattling bathroom ceiling fan, many things need an upgrade...including the amenities, if you can call them that, the soap was thin and the size of a quarter, which desaturated after one shower and the small shampoo bottle was half-full from the start. Also, when I arrived at 4pm to check-in after an arduous ride there was a 'closed' sign on the door and a 'be back at 5:00 clock on included...my heart sank. But, after many pushes of the door buzzer a relative of the owner answered the door and had to contact the owner by phone to verify my reservation...this just added to my ordeal. So, all n all not the greatest stay and there are other options within a few miles that are also inexpensive and much more pleasant.

Very close to Tanglewood. Would stay there again because of the pricing and ability to just book for one night in a weekend. Haven a breakfast/brunch place in nearby Lenox is amazing.
