Very disappointing. Room smelt stale, almost mouldy. The bed was uncomfortable. No air conditioning and the provided fan was loud. The toilet didn't work (we were given access to the toilet in another room), and the sink didn't drain properly. We won't be back.

If you’re staying at Horseshoe Bay to connect with the local ferry this is the place to stay, warm friendly welcome with the added bonus of a late check in. Rooms clean and comfortable with a good bathroom/shower complementary toiletries. Ferry terminal is within walking distance, what more could you want.

The room was clean and comfortable, check-in easy with a gracious host. But no mistaking it…this property is a 1950s or 1960s era motel. Parking lot should be repaved and a camper trailer next to the office on property gave the whole place a semi-seedy atmosphere. Renovating may be coming. The location is excellent with restaurants and the bay only a block away.

Ok but Wouldn’t do it again

As I understand it, the motel is under new management & things have improved since they took over. They were nice & it was clean enough, but there was no a/c & it’s kinda old. Anywhere else this hotel would be worth 80$/$120 per night. After tax these folks charged $348. Unless you are desperate for a room, move along….

Great for a quick rest before an early ferry

The room was super hot with no air conditioner, they did provide a fan in the room. Bed was super old and stiff and pillows were not the greatest. I get they’re the only hotel in town but for $348.00 a night it should be way better …

Overpriced accommodation

At almost $300 US dollars, the only notable thing about the motel was it’s convenience to the ferry if you are a walk on passenger.

Location is great if you are taking an early ferry. Rooms are fine but dated. No AC but office did provide a fan. Carpet should really be pulled out. Our bathroom power did not work (GFI wouldn’t reset) and I had to ask at the office for a hairdryer. Expensive for what it is

We spent sn evening at the Horseshoe Bay motel. Check in and check out were,seamless and the property was immaculate. I would stay there again without hesitation. A true gem in the heart of Horseshoe Bay

Its a simple motel experience but what lifts it above the ordinary are: Location Cleanliness Easy Parking Naomi We could not praise Naomi highly enough. Friendly, helpful, welcoming, supportive. The only reason its not five stars for everything is it is a straightforward motel so dont expect, aircon a swimming pool and five star restaurant. Do expect to be at the centre of Horsehoe Bay nr the cafes and harbour in a clean and simole room with microwave, fridge a fan and comfortable bed and furniture.
