Room was quite small (we had a dog) and it needed a refrigerator. The handle on toilet was loose. Back door had a sign saying to not slam it, something might be done to help it shut slowly and not slam. Add USB ports to lamps or clock.

Showing it age a little, but a clean room. Daily service charge, but they don't clean rooms daily or bring clean towels for multiple night stays unless requested.

I did not like the cleanliness and the dingy hotel. They say they have a pool but we had to go to the Nugget to use their pool. So in all fairness they do not have a pool which they should disclose on their website. Staff was accommodating they offered a upgrade to the Nugget Hotel because their key system wasn't working,which we accepted. When we got to the Nugget we had to wait again because they had ran out of keys. We will never go to Wndover again until they remodle their hotels. Hotel for the pool.

The room had no fridge as advertised. Specifically asked for a room with fridge due to having medication that needs refrigeration. Nope couldn't get one, couldn't change rooms. So I had to use ice that I had to purchase in order to keep my medication refrigerated. Then because of no fridge I had to purchase more ice to complete my trip because I couldn't re freeze the ice packs for the cooler. Luckily the medication is sealed so no water got in the vials. Room wasn't the cleanest either. There was trash on the floor around the bed. Didn't notice it until I put my shoes under the side of the bed. The sad thing is there is only like 4" of room there before hitting a solid bed frame. So a vacuum would have been able to pick it up. The staff at check in and check out seemed to be in a dreamland. I swear they were completely zoned out. Different people, different times/days. Moved and spoke very slow. I literally looked around for a your on candid camera crew. Unrelated. This review website from Expedia is really really bad. It keeps changing my rating from 1 or 2 stars to 4-5. I keep having to click it back.

Red Garner, Hotel and Casino Alder slot machines were penny machines and they had table games, but no one was at the tables to be able to play the games! So rather than gambling at this establishment went to the one next-door the rainbow who has an excellent gaming facility really clean really nice great staff. At the red Garner Hotel and Casino the cleaning staff would constantly try to get into the room before we even checked out. It happened seven times this morning and I even checked out early. They had no signs to hang on the door saying do not disturb! Updating the rooms could potentially go a long way and bring more people in for their gaming and have staff at the gaming tables! However, it was extremely quiet and that was very nice

Beds were very uncomfortable. The door to the bathroom needs to be adjusted. Toilet runs. Stopper to the tub missing. No fridge or coffeemaker in the room. Elevator broken, etc,etc. This Hotel is in dire need of repair and renovation. Worst thing is we got back to the room around 5 the first day and the room had not been cleaned. There was a note on the counter saying we had to request the room to be cleaned but it would have to be for the next day. The note was not there when we checked in nor were we advised at check-in. There was no way for us to no and no way to get the room cleaned. We stopped at the front desk and asked for clean towels at least to be delivered to the room as we were going out for the evening. We got back and no towels. Fire the manager of this place and repair all the jacked up stuff.

It was a ok place to stay. Check in took longer than maybe it should have. The area with the non-smoking rooms were clean and didn’t smell like smoke. The staff was ok did their job but nobody seemed overly friendly.

Booked on a one week advance because the newer hotels were booked full for Speedweek. Elevators don't work at all. Staff were a bunch of 18 year old's with NO skills sitting on the counters and playing with cell phones in black T-shirts that said "Crew". Their "store" had completely empty shelves. The bar on the east end was never manned or open, leaving you to walk the full length of the place for a drink. It has 2 sections of rooms, unconnected and we had 2 rooms, so you have to take the stairs to the lobby and go across to the other stair way if you want to get to another room. No pool, but they "share a pool with the sister property, The Nugget. They didn't tell us it was closed for repairs until the grandkids were ready to go use it, (in the middle of summer during their biggest week of the year). Room cards worked half the time. One of our rooms AC didn't work on arrival, and was about 100 degrees, so we left kids and luggage in the hall to go downstairs to get a room change. (Remember: NO ELEVATOR). This morning their inside Starbucks was closed because the machine was broken, like everything else, and had 3 pastries on a rack, nothing else. NO Wi-Fi; Out of Order. Luggage carts had flat tires. No coffee makers or anything else in the rooms. Had the balls to charge $20 / day "Service Fee" with no housekeeping services, and the place smells like 1980. STAY AWAY!! SONESTA / RED LION....YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO HAVE THIS PLACE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Sad to say that our room was horrible. No AC, no fridge, elevator not working, remote didn't work. We have always like this hotel. Staff called for our ac to he prepared, but maintenance never showed up. Slept in at least 85 degrees.

I was pleasantly surprised. We live 90 minutes from wendover and visit often. We normally stay at other properties in the area. You always hear people talk about how the red garter isn’t great. It exceeded my expectations. Yes the room looks old and dated but it was clean and the bed was comfortable! The amenities could use some work. The elevator and ice machine were both out of service.
