Fun Family Vacation

We had a wonderful extended family trip to Westport for two nights. We rented three rooms at the Saltwater Inn. The second floor Marina View room was our gathering spot for snacks and board games. The view from the King Harbor room is somewhat diminished by the cloudiness of the windows. That room also seems to be designed for very tall people, as the toilet and bed are both much higher off the ground than usual. The internet connection worked very well. We loved the shops and restaurants. The children in our group enjoyed climbing on the rocks by the beach. We included a visit to the Westport Lighthouse and State Park. This is our second time making this trip and we did it because the children asked for a repeat visit.

Best bet for accomodation in Westport

Fantastic location--great views, and short walk to dock for charter fishing or to oceanside beach walkway. Tastefully remodeled and very comfortable with onsite parking

We loved the view overlooking the marina. The room was quaint with the wood ceiling. The location was great! Easy access to the viewing tower, restaurants, jetty’s and the beach. Things that could be improved upon, Being an older couple, we didn’t part like the electronic PIN number lock on the door. We just couldn’t Seem to get it to work. Property manager was great, she gave us an actual key that worked every time. I would recommend putting screens on the windows facing the marina, using mini fridges that have freezers, offering plastic dirty clothes bags, adding an alarm clock that has usb charging ports available, and re-grouting the shower as well as tile the shower floor and change out the drain. We knew that the shower was clean but it appeared dingy, dirty, and worn out because of those things. With all that being said….we will be back and we would gladly recommend this place to stay for a comfortable homey feel in a great Location with a great view!

We'll be back.

Our room was overlooking the marina on the second floor. It had a nice view. Since there isn't an air conditioner, the room was supplied with a fan. But with the door open, we got a nice breeze too. Bed was comfortable. The walk-in shower was a good size. There was a table and 2 chairs by the window to use and an electric fireplace for heat. It was a nice, relaxing weekend with a short walking distance to the shops by the marina. I recommend it.
