From here, if you’re feeling energetic you could climb the 199 steps which lead up to the ruins of Whitby Abbey, which stands dominantly on the clifftop and can be seen from Hilltop Hideaway’s kitchen window.
You can enjoy the magnificent coastline with an exhilarating cliff-top walk, a stroll along the beach to Sandsend or in the summer months pack a picnic and relax on the long sandy beach. Jump on the tour bus to make sure you don’t miss out on everything Whitby has to offer, or take a trip on one of the pleasure boats and enjoy a trip around the harbour and out to sea.
