Riverrun is a cosy dog friendly apartment located in the seaside town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Sleeping up to five guests, this beautifully presented first floor apartment has everything you could need for a relaxing retreat on the coast. With two spacious bedrooms and an open plan living, kitchen and dining room complete with modern appliances, Riverrun is perfect for the whole family.



The Space:

With neutral tones and a large window overlooking the River Esk, the living room has a modern, yet cosy feel. The perfect place to retreat to after a day of exploring the local area, you can enjoy a night in with your loved ones in this space. Relax on the comfy sofa and turn on the LCD Freeview TV. You can also bring your favourite films with you and watch them on the DVD player.



Sharing the space is the kitchen and dining area where you'll find another modernly decorated space. Fully equipped for all self-catering stays, the kitchen features all the appliances you could need including a dishwasher. From crockery and cutlery to teapots and tumblers, the apartment has everything you could need.



The dining area is the ideal spot for family meals and sociable gatherings with friends. Located directly next to the kitchen area, you can keep conversations going as you cook.



Home to a comfortable king size bed with luxury white bed linen, you’ll certainly enjoy your sleep in the master bedroom at Riverrun. There is plenty of room for storage with a wardrobe and bedside drawers.



The second bedroom has been designed to be comfortable for everyone. The room has a double bed, along with a separate single bed which suits all parties from couples to families.



The bathroom has been tastefully decorated to be both modern yet still practical. With a large walk-in shower, wash basin and WC, this space has everything you could need. Towels and complementary toiletries are provided so you don’t need to worry about bringing your own.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Riverrun are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.



Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle in a designated space.



One well behaved dog is welcome to stay at Riverrun per reservation.



The Neighborhood:

Riverrun is located on the east side of Whitby, so you’ll find restaurants, shops and pubs in abundance a short distance away.



It’s on the East bank where you’ll find narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.



Venture over the swing bridge and you’ll reach the West side of town where you’ll be able to revel in the nostalgic seaside charm - head to the arcades or explore the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.



Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland, some of which can be explored just a short distance away from Riverrun. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.



Getting Around:

You’ll find restaurants, pubs and shops just in a short walk from Riverrun.



Whitby train station is located in the centre of town so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.



There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 and X94 travel along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
