Cost vs time & nuisance

CRC is quite far from town and will add 20-30 min to your GNP trip. Room photos are pretty accurate but the other amenities must be somewhere else. All units are quads. Our unit felt comfortable and homely at first but over the course of our stay problems began to show. The whole unit was dimly lit, the shower and entry/laundry area were dark. The listing photos are very misleading about light. All the lights seem low wattage and this is made worse by hiding them behind metal mountain themed accents. The property manager knew the fridge didn't work right but didn't leave a sign letting us know it wasn't fixed. We realized this after picking up groceries and stored our dairy in the freezer until repairs were made. There is no AC so not sure why our email included temp guidance. Not a huge deal if the fan in the second floor worked but no wall switch would turn it on. Even if it did work only one of the two beds upstairs would have felt it due to the layout and main beam. There was some fancy thermostat looking device on the downstairs wall but it only seemed to tell you the temp (maybe for radiator heating?). The property manager also hasn't cleared any of the trees away from the buildings (per fire safety guidance). This looks "cozy and mountainy" from the parking lot but means the only things you'll see from your windows & shared balcony are trees. No sweeping vistas. It also means that these units will not survive a forest fire (retired firefighter)

We stayed here one night with our kids. It really is cozy. The kids liked looking down at us from our loft. Location was beautiful in the forest close to Whitefish resort, and town.
