Area around hotel is extremely loud (cars and trucks without mufflers and racing on Main Street) on the weekend. https://dailyinterlake.com/news/2025/may/04/police-target-noisy-cruising-in-kalispell/ Not hotels fault but just know it can be an extremely loud area.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, it was very small, but that would not deter me from staying there again. It’s old school with real keys. This hotel has been in business since 1912 and it has the charm and character you would expect. It’s right downtown, so restaurants and shopping are literally steps away! They have HOMEMADE breakfast items each morning and they are delicious. They have quiche, breads, muffins and the most fantastic oatmeal. The oatmeal is prepared and portioned in bowls - I added a little hot water & milk then microwaved it- so good! Billy was working the morning we left and he is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and gave us great directions and ideas for the day. I appreciate that they accept dogs and don’t charge a fortune. If you do have pets you should know there’s no grass or good area to take them to right next to the hotel. If you go towards First Interstate Bank parking lot, there’s a nice stretch of grass right by the sidewalk and a garbage can right there to dispose of your dog’s poop bag.

Unique building with nice decor. Clean and comfort rooms. Bathrooms could use an update. Two of the staff we encountered on the front desk were great! One lacked personality. Dining and shopping were steps away. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

The hotel is cute as far as historical wise. The rooms are very small which is fine for a single person or couple. For a family 4 it was extremely tight. With that said the beds were comfortable. They do have complimentary cookies and popcorn for their guests which was nice. Our front desk person at check in was a little difficult but the person at the front desk at check out was amazing. Its a 50/50 review for me.

Old hotel mostly re-conditioned. Beds were comfortable. Noise from the street on the weekend was loud but we were told of this at check-in and if it bothered you, they had ear plugs for you or would move you to a quieter room. The temperatures were warm during the day and our air conditioner did not work very well. Sleeping in a warm room in the summer was not my ideal sleeping arrangement. The hotel overall was good.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and it was awesome! This hotel was beautifully renovated while keeping true to its western history. It is located right in the heart of downtown historical Kalispell. Park the car and walk the center. The room was quant and tastefully decorated. The continental breakfast was nice. It wasn’t the typical waffles and cheap box muffins. They served homemade potato and cheese quiche, baked oatmeal, homemade cinnamon bread with huckleberry jam. Very tasteful! I highly recommend this little bit of history.
