Come visit us at Hickory Hideaway nestled in the mountains of Southern West Virginia! Conveniently located within 15 minutes of many of the WV adventures. New River Gorge National Park, Summersville Lake, Hawks Nest & Babcock State Parks, Carnifex Ferry Battlefield and Winterplace Ski Resort. Offering whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting and more! If you are looking for adventure or a relaxing stay, we have it all! We are located in Mount Lookout, WV. The property is located 2 miles off of US Route 19, less than an hour from I-79, I-64 and I-77. Cabin sleeps up to 8. Rates are based on 4 guests, there is an additional guest fee per night for bookings with over 4 guests that you will see when checking out. The cabin is secluded on 2 acres on Meadow River Farms, with nice yard and forest cover. Spacious back porch with 6 person spa and sitting area. Master bedroom has a king size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds. Master bath has walk in tile shower, 2nd bathroom has tub/shower combo unit. Great room with electric fireplace and picnic table dining area. Spacious kitchen with island for social activities. Washer and dryer and other accommodations. We are pet friendly however we must be notified and approve the pet as you are booking your stay. There is a Dollar General conveniently located within 2 miles. Check out is at 11:00 am unless we have approved a late check out. Checking out late will without prior approval will result in a double cleaning fee. Be sure to check out our discount for week long stays!

Wonderful cabin. Everything was incredibly clean and the house was well stocked. Plenty of room for our family. The hitting was great and the fire pit and covered picnic table was perfect and the place we spent most of our time when we were there.

I had a perfect stay at Hickory Hideaway! Everything was exactly as described or better, the decor is wonderful, and the place was spotless when I arrived. I particularly appreciated the immaculately maintained hot tub, especially after a day adventuring in the gorge. The grill and firepit are also fantastic. Pro tip: Be sure to checkout The Market and Drinkery at Rt. 19, great lo al grub!

Amazing property. The location is perfect. Secluded for sure, but still about 20-30 minutes from stores and all the fun. Very clean and updated. Owners go above and beyond to maintain their home and provide almost everything you can think of so you don’t have to worry about anything. We plan to make this our routine summer destination.

One of our first trips with our 2 year old son. The place was really well kept which made us feel more comfortable and made the trip a million times better/easier. Wonderful cabin.

I was looking for a cozy cabin to spend a week with my family during Christmas time. This cabin caught my attention for having over 100 reviews! Our family had a wonderful time, the cabin had everything; the beds and bed linens were exceptionally comfortable, extra blankets available in the closets should you need some extra warmth. The host thought of everything. There was an electric fireplace in the living room, all 3 bedrooms had TVs, as well as the living room. The 2 bathrooms were large and comfortable, plenty of towels, and a great laundry room. On our arrival we walked into a well-lit living room with a lovely Christmas tree welcoming us to the cabin, very nice touch, thank you! The kitchen was large and well equipped for cooking and hosting large family. The property is well loved and maintained and easy to navigate, I loved the ranch style living, no stairs! I would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely cabin and would love to return. Thank you again.

Thanksgiving getaway

Beautiful secluded Cabin getaway for our family Thanksgiving retreat! The place was cozy and clean! Host was very responsive and accommodating for us. Features of open kitchen allowed for all of us to cook, eat and relax together. Bedrooms allowed for privacy and extremely comfortable. Bathrooms both were clean and great water temp and pressure when showering. TV and wireless worked well also. Hot tub was an added bonus that really allowed for us to all chill especially with the cold snow and hot water soothing. Recommend this to all as it was very affordable and easy to access with so many wonderful areas around for sightseeing!

Bridge Day Stay

The cabin was amazing!! We loved staying here, it was clean comfortable and spacious! It had everything we needed and the hot tub was perfect. The property is nestled in a gorgeous wooded area with majestic trees and hemlocks, we sat around the fire and soaked it all in. And a short drive to the bridge for the festivities. Perfect

Great cabin near New River Gorge!

Beautiful cabin located extremely close to New River Gorge! Pictures do not do this cabin justice at all. Tons of amenities and absolutely loved using the Hot Tub on the back deck. There were deer in the yard almost every morning, and every evening deer were on the road leading up to the house. It is quite a beautiful place! We were excited to use the fire pit in the back, but there was a mix-up from the host about a current fire ban, so we did our own research and discovered there was actually no longer a fire ban, so we could only have a fire on the last night. Everything was very clean and if staying in the area again, we would definitely book this place! My only constructive feedback would be maybe to add more hooks on the back of doors or walls so its easier to hang towels after using the hot tub and shower. Thanks again for having us!!

Weekend Get Away

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin in the woods. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and firepit. The three bedrooms and two baths were perfect for our family. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. Would recommend to others who want a quiet place near New River Gorge.

We had a wonderful trip at this beautiful cabin. It was very clean, with all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the yard games under the deck and the hot tub. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The host was always available if we needed anything. Would definitely come back thank you
