Been coming to the Shalimar for years on family vacations. Now that I’m older, I bring my family here. Great for kids and adults alike. Clean hotel and great staff.

The property is fine, though very dated. The problem was that the staff quits work at 5 PM, so if you arrive later than that there is no one to give you a key or get you on the internet. Luckily we arrived at 3 and got to talk to a staff member, but if we had arrived much later--as we originally planned--we would have been out of luck. Also, we found that almost all the restaurants were closed in early october. We spent an hour looking for somewhere to eat. I am sure it is different in summer, but beware in the fall!

We enjoyed our five night stay. Room was clean and comfortable, though could use some upgrades. The room with the kitchenette has a tiny bathroom - so small that when you open the door, it hits the toilet. If you have small children, be advised that there is no extra latch from the inside. Also, the pool fence does latch but when people come and go, they often leave it unlatched. Just something to be aware of if you have a toddler. All in all, the stay was good and staff was kind and courteous.

Nice but noisy

The hotel was nice but very busy and bit loud during the day and evening. Our door stuck which was annoying. The beds were comfy and the room was big. We were on the first floor right by the pool which had a lot of people walking by which causes the noise but that would be expected.
