The check-in and check out with Hilton was less than desirable and altered the overall experience. The communication with the owner was excellent and timely. The staff upon checkout was very rude and less than professional about a reasonable late checkout for 12 in our party (which we notified the owner of in advance and he stated it should not be a problem). The truth is that if I did not pay an extra 28 for a late checkout fee, our desk clerk stated our keys would automatically lock us out anyway. I asked that the Hilton Manager on site please give me a call and left my mobile number. I never received a call all day. It was disappointing. Future renters should know the front desk, the Concierge and the Call Center Upstairs don’t communicate. When you get a barrage of texts reminding you about your stay, the front desk doesn’t know them and tells you that. All renters are strongly approached to watch a seminar for Hilton Vacation Rentals, even if you don’t want to. The unit is old but very spacious and clean. We still had a good time despite the sub-par treatment at check-in and check out.
