Orion | Private Glamping Cottage in Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Pull off the road and into the trees, and the rest of the day starts to fall away. Orion sits on its own private site at Alderwood Crossing, a wooded retreat just outside Wilson in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The cottage is set about a hundred feet from its nearest neighbor, with privacy screens framing a view that opens straight out into the forest, so the space feels like it's yours alone.
Inside, a queen bed is made up and waiting, with a sofa to stretch out on, soft lighting strung overhead, and blackout shades you can draw when you're ready to sleep in. Solar power keeps your devices charged and a ceiling fan keeps things comfortable on warm afternoons. There's a coffee maker for slow mornings and a heater for the cool nights the U.P. is known for. It's simple, comfortable, and built for actually unwinding.
Step outside and the site is set up for the parts of camping people love without the parts they don't. Island Resort and Casino, with dining and golf, is about three miles away, and Escanaba and Little Bay de Noc are roughly 16 miles northeast.
