For an aquatic adventure, try your hand at a range of water sports on Windermere (3 miles) or hop on a ferry in Bowness to see the area from a whole new perspective. Explore the historic market town of Kendal (9 miles), known for its independent shops, delightful cafes, and the impressive Kendal Castle ruins offering sweeping views over the town and beyond. For a day of outdoor exploration, head to Ambleside (7 miles), a popular meeting point for walkers and cyclists to set off and explore deeper into the national park.


Step through the front door and into the inviting open-plan lounge, where exposed stone walls and a crackling wood burner create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Sit back on the comfortable sofa seating and toast the toes after a day of discovery. Next door, you'll find a lovely four-poster bedroom, complete with its own en-suite shower room to refresh at the end of the day.
