Families with children will enjoy a visit to the World of Beatrix Potter, South Lakes Zoo, the Lakeland Aquarium, Motor Museum and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, where you can take a ride on a steam train. Grizedale Forest also makes a great day out with plenty of trails, mountain biking, Segways and the Go Ape treetop adventure.
