The popular town of Bowness-on-Windermere is just 4 miles away and here you will find a great selection of boutique shops, pubs, cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as a cinema. Bowness is also home to the famous World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, while Windermere town is a further 2 miles away, and from here you can catch a train to explore the Lake District if you prefer not to drive.

There are plenty of lovely walks to suit everyone, perfect for those who love the great outdoors. Other popular activities in the area include cycling, sailing, fishing, and water sports. Grizedale Forest, 11 miles, has excellent mountain biking trails as well as Segway trails and Go Ape Treetop Adventure.
