Great location

Books fairly last minute for a quiet get away with my hubby. The hotel is in an ideal position just a 3 minute walk away from the centre of Bowness. There are a few parking spaces for residents to the front of the main building and to the rear of the smaller annex building - where we stayed. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The room - a superior double was compact and beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed and wall mounted flat screen as well as DVD player with a huge selection of dvds available on request from reception. The bathroom was beautiful and had a jaccuzi and wall mounted t.v.. Included in our stay were complimentary passes to the spa at the Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel which is next door , unfortunately we weren't aware of this and hadn't taken our swim kits ! We had the Cranleigh breakfast on our first morning and I'm sad to say I didn't really enjoy it - the bacon was quite fatty and I didn't enjoy the sausage at all , although my husband thought it was fine. The next day I decided to have Eggs Royale which was delicious. Over all we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back and recommend it to anyone .
