I will probably never stay in a hotel again. My first experience with a rental accommodation was wonderful. Did the suite need some fixing? Yes But on the whole, it was excellent.

Pros:Building was safe and secure. Lots of parking options. Location is good. Beds as described and comfy. Gym was good.Cons:Lots of damage to almost everything. Broken items include:-toilet seat (mentioned in previous reviews)-outlets cracked and bent (melted?)-some blinds won’t work, one on door missing -patio door broken so you can’t lock it, it won’t seal and the wind comes in. (mentioned in previous reviews)-broken shower wand holder Mismatching kitchen chairs that are too short for the table. No lightbulbs in bathroom fixture. Almost all walls have gouges, holes and marks. Heavily soiled air filter needs changing.It was mostly clean, but dishes were put away wet and some had food on them. Floors were sticky. Mold in shower. Toilet was not clean. No soap, dishwasher pods, paper towel, which have all been standard in any other VRBO we have stayed in. Owner promised to send soap, did not. Four people registered for three nights. -1 face cloth-1 hand towel -1 kitchen tea towel-1 dish clothThey did leave enough larger towels though!We had to message to get the WiFi info, it’s not in the check in manual. With some attention, this place could be great, but it’s rather rundown and beat up. Disappointing for sure.

This unit is in need of maintenance. Several of these issues have been mentioned in prior reviews and have not been fixed. The toilet seat is broken and treacherous - mentioned in a prior review, the hosts acted as if they were hearing about it for the first time. The stopper in the bathroom sink is broken. The door to the balcony does not seal closed. Most impactful, the king bed collapsed in the middle of the night. We were able to put it back together, but it is obvious the whole thing has broken disconnected support legs and has been propped up instead of effectively repaired - one of the slats was entirely missing. A prior review mentioned the queen bed collapsing, and a quick look there confirmed a similar state of affairs. There are other minor issues throughout (busted up trim, wall holes, corroded batteries in the thermostat) indicating a lack of care of the unit by the hosts.

This property is great for its location! We had a few concerns but for the most part they were addressed. Could use some attention to detail. The balcony door doesnt close and is broke. The toilet seat was broken when we got there as well. Also there is never enough toilet paper lol. All in all we would stay again.

Disappointing Stay

My wife and I have stayed at VRBOs in several different countries. While the location met our needs, the apartment itself is quite poorly maintained. The bed is still broken, despite a previous guest's review, among other concerns with the general condition of the unit.

This property is a great location if you are attending events downtown. The only thing we found was this unit needed a bit of attention. The queen bed frame came apart in the middle of the night and the chairs were all very loose. Could not sit on most of them. Also needs a good cleaning. The host was great, very responsive. We would stay here again though!

great view and location!

Overall pleased with our experience. Good location in the downtown area with a nice view, and slept four of us very comfortably. Only issues were that some of the dishes in the drawers were still somewhat dirty, and make sure to notify owners ahead of time if you need a parking pass so that you can get it on the same day you arrive. Other than that, it’s a very good place if you plan on experiencing what downtown Winnipeg has to offer, and would definitely stay here again.
