Overall a very nice experience. I the property could benefit from some general sprucing up, but it is by no means unclean. The rooms were nicely appointed. The Summer Room had a wonderful view of the river and an adjacent park. One note—the summer room has a claw foot tub and handheld shower.

Husband and I went for a two night getaway while wanting to stay close to downtown Dells. Perfect for what we needed. Walkable like one block from downtown and easy access. Simple nothing crazy small room. Cleanliness could be better but not horrible, just mostly dusty floor around bed and bedspring cover needed a cleaning. Other than that, bed and towels good, clean bathroom. Small fridge and microwave for little things. Roku TV in guest mode so you can sign into your things while your stay and once check out date his, info deleted. That was nice. They do have bigger rooms in other buildings/homes on property I'd like to stay at next time. Free breakfast was great! View from breakfast hall was beautiful of the river. Outside Grounds area was peaceful and open. Didn't get a chance to try the outdoor pool but people were enjoying it when we got there. Happy overall, will stay again.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was very poor. Our reserved rooms were not available upon arrival, and the front desk staff initially made resolving the situation very difficult. We ultimately could not stay here and felt the handling of the issue was unacceptable.

We’ve stayed here last Labor Day weekend and loved it so much that we came back again! The staff is friendly, the breakfast is good, the accommodations are unique, and you can’t beat it, it’s blocks from the action packed main street

I enjoyed the quiet. The location is within walking distance to all the shopping. The riverwalk is close by. Breakfast was wonderful served daily, all you could eat. I will recommend as well as return for another visit.

We stayed for just one night while attending a show at the Legacy Dinner Theater. The attendant that checked us in was great! Very welcoming. We had a room with a king bed a a sofa sleeper. The only hitch was we needed to use the sofa sleeper as we had 3 adults in the room. We had to go to the front desk to request bedding as there was none available. The sofa sleeper was not the most comfy but then again, one must remember it is a "sofa sleeper:

I loved the main house! Very unique and cute. The grounds could use some simple upkeep...a coat of paint and cleaning. The pool area was older but nice. So close to everything! We loved being able to sit on the patio and listen to the outdoor band from the bar across the street! Great breakfast.

Given wrong room I signed up for, no bedding for pull out which had dead bugs on mattress when we pulled it out and bed was uncomfortable. Took 45 mns to get bedding after asking twice.

Its a nice affordable option for The Dells. Nothing too fancy but great location and good value. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant directly across has great food, music and outside seating. I would stay here again.

In a great location! Next to the river walk and downtown. Very walkable to all of that but in a quiet spot. It’s one of the better old fashioned hotels they have there. Would go back again!
