Boasting a 1000+ acre lake renowned for walleye and surrounded by approximately 85% state-owned land, it's a haven for fishing enthusiasts. Whether casting a line off the pier or exploring the expansive lake by boat, the options are abundant. The cottage offers a cozy retreat with everything needed, inviting moments of relaxation with a good book or engaging in a game of Yahtzee on the sun porch.

The allure of the Minocqua area enhances the experience, known for its exceptional supper clubs and a calendar filled with weekend events throughout the summer. A mere 9-minute drive reveals the largest flea market in Wisconsin, a weekly spectacle from Memorial to Labor Day. Notably, the property shares its space with one other rental, providing two piers, two fire pit areas, and a spacious grassy expanse for yard games. Safety is prioritized with two cameras at the back of the property, ensuring the well-being of both owners and renters, while the cottage maintains privacy without cameras within the rental spaces.

I would highly recommend fisherman‘s cottage. Gorgeous lake, beautiful property, quaint cabin with everything you need, very clean, and Management was attentive to all needs or questions in a timely manner. Will definitely be coming back.

Quiet Fishing Cabin

It was perfect for our needs! We wanted quiet and accessible to a lake which is what we got. Lots of other cabins around but most were unoccupied during our stay. Thankful for the window AC unit as it was hot and humid the first couple days. Property was accurately described, easy acces to the lake. We didnt swim but its not a beach or easy in and out off the pier.

Quintessentially “Up North” Wisconsin Cabin

This cute little cabin is set in a quiet area on Big Arbor Vitae Lake just steps from the shore. It is small, as advertised, but you won’t spend much time inside when the outside is so inviting! It has everything you need and the owners, along with the property managers, were friendly and immediately responded to messages. There is a fire pit and plenty of firewood, a grill, a dock, and so much to do near by. We could not have asked for more. Our thanks to our hosts. We will be back!

Great place.

Had a wonderful week. Cabin worked perfect. The owner Katie was just a super genuine nice person who would've helped in any way. We had a storm and the power went out for a little while..... here's a knock on the door and it's Katie with some battery lamps to make sure we had some lights! She's how neighbors all used to be.... it was refreshing! Its a beautiful area and located on a great part of the lake.

July Getaway

The cottage is quaint and has all the ole up north appeal. We loved the location for its access to the biking trails, supper clubs, and access to towns nearby. Great yard for playing outdoor games, campfire and pier for fishing or docking your own canoe/kayaks. Kate is a wonderful host.

Excellent Cottage Retreat!!

My family and i had the most amazing time at the cottage. Its the perfect Rustic retreat right on the lake. Communication with owner and property manager was A+++++++. Would recommend to any family of 4 or less looking for a get away in the Northwoods! Was such a amazing week and the whole family was sad to go. Great stay

Our family rented out both the fishing cottage and the house on the same property (same owner). Both were clean, cute and comfortable. The fishing cottage was small, but had everything we needed and was well thought out. The property is both rustic and charming! Thank you for a great stay!

Warm, clean cottage on a beautiful lake.

Owner and Property Managers were excellent to communicate with. The property was clean and furnished as advertised. Price was fair and they accommodated us when our departure plans changed a bit. Thank you for letting us stay at your cottage!
