Staff were very welcoming, and gave a 5* service. room has been recently refurbished and was spotless, modern and very comfortable. Didn’t want to leave! Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but it looked very nice when I walked past the breakfast room. Room had a beautiful view of the river. Will definitely stay here again. Would love to do so in the summer as perfect venue for al fresco dining by the river. Parking can be a issue but always a spot to find nearby. Think this can be a issue wherever you stay in town.

Right on the river. Lovely staff, wonderful room.

Lovely old pub right on the river ( we saw the resident kingfisher!). We were made to feel like locals by Ralph, the landlord. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food was great with very generous portions. Can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be going back.

Good location

Location: Good area for Eating, drinking and browsing shops.
Old hotel plenty of character next to the River and a two minute walk to the town, Upton is like a step back in time, very pleasant.
