A fab find for a quick stay

We stayed at the Highdown for two nights while attending a wedding. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. From us arriving at 22:45 to check in after getting stuck driving down, to offering to cook me an early breakfast as I had to be at the bride's house for 07:30 the same time breakfast started. The room was very clean and super quiet. We couldn't recommend it enough

The property was lovely, the room was excellent, very well decorated and the bathroom was very spacious. The food in the pub was average. The breakfast was excellent. The only real negative was the smell from the cesspit which was overpowering, we could even smell it in the room.

The setting of Highdown, is impressive. The seemingly refurbished rooms are superb and beautifully appointed.The public spaces are very attractive, warm and inviting. The staff are pleasant, professional and efficient. In all honesty we cannot think of anything negative to say about Highdown as our stay was very enjoyable. As we intend returning later in the year to this area, the fact that the Highdown hotel is dog friendly, will almost certainly mean us visiting again.

Great find

Had a truly wonderful stay. Was catered for fantastically as was my dog. The location is great with Highdown hill to walk on just behind. Food was fantastic - really lovely menu. Hope to visit again!

Surprising little Gem

Wonderful place for midweek break, Covid19 safe, great service, felt very comfortable in every aspect. Food is quality.... Super (huge),breakfast. Cannot fault, look forward to next visit.

One of the BEST!!

WOW!!! What a stunning place to stay, staff were super attentive and made me feel right at home. Lovely room with the most comfortable bed 😴 and the food was extra special. Will definitely be coming here again.

Lovely overnight stay.

Really lovely property with immediate access to teh Downs. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Our room was both spacious and comfortable.We had dinner and the food was really good too. All in all a very enjoyable stay.and great value for money.
