Escape to Tarnhouse Lake Cottage, a serene 3-bed, 2-bath waterfront chalet nestled in the woods. Perfect for groups, this A-frame retreat features a stunning stone fireplace, a large deck, and a private dock on the lake. Enjoy modern comforts like Wi-Fi and A/C while surrounded by nature. Comfortably accommodates larger groups seeking a peaceful getaway.

*We provide a complimentary starter pack of essentials to help you settle in, including basic toiletries and paper products. For your extended stay, please plan to purchase additional items as needed.

*Despite our thorough cleaning efforts, the property s natural setting may result in occasional sightings of bugs or wildlife. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the unique environment.

PETS: To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests a fee of $150 per reservation will be charged to cover additional cleaning costs. Pet fees are NOT included in the original reservation price or room rate provided. This home is DOG friendly ONLY. Max of two dogs. Pet Fee will be sent and charged within 2 weeks of your arrival.
Strict NO SMOKING policy. If you smoke inside you will be fined $250.
We are not responsible for items left behind by guests. If you leave an item behind and you want it to be sent back to you. We charge $25 for that item to be shipped plus the shipping costs.
Any stay greater than 21 days will require an additional long term cleaning fee of $50 that will be MANUALLY charged after reservation confirmation.

This is a nice cabin in the woods. Your expectations should be of a clean older cabin not a modern updated condo. It was great to be on the lake with very good fishing. And the firepit and kayaks were nice touches. Internet was good and stable. The changes needed to get a 5 start review would be - It needs to be restocked (i.e. dishes, beach towels, silverware, cookware, grill). It seemed like it was very nice at one time but hasn't been kept up.
