Koishiya Ryokan a 100yearold wooden building with a purely Japanese atmosphere
Located in Shibu Onsen a town with a history of 1300 years Koishiya Ryokan was painstakingly constructed by artisans in the early Showa period
After much regret the inn closed down but we wanted to pass on its splendor to future generations so we relit the lights in August 2015

While the elegant Japanesestyle rooms remain the inn has been reborn as a comfortable affordable inn suited to modern travel styles
There is also a cafe bar that is open to nonguests as well
For breakfast you can enjoy specially selected coffee and sandwiches and for dinner you can enjoy snacks meat dishes pasta and more along with wines from Nagano Prefecture / Rent the entire house Enjoy a completely private stay with your group
