Surrounded by lawned gardens with seating areas and patio for al fresco dining, along with an eco-friendly underfloor heating system and open fire, this is an ideal house at any time of year. The village of Holme-on-Spalding Moor offers a convenient range of shops, pubs, restaurants and bakery. Should you wish to reach the village on foot, it is only a 20 minute walk via Rascal Moor. The area around the village is a maze of country lanes, perfect for walking and cycling. Being at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, this is a relatively undiscovered area which inspired the paintings of David Hockney. There are numerous attractions to visit including The Deep, a spectacular aquarium in Hull, and the Jorvik Centre and magnificent minster in York. The historic market town of Beverley is just a 20 minute drive and the coastal resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough along with the North York Moors are all easily accessible. Golf, clay pigeon shooting, fishing and horse riding are available locally and the owner is happy to share his extensive local knowledge, giving advice on walks, cycle routes and nature reserve locations. Lovely house

We had a fantastic long weekend staying at Rascal Wood. The house was fantastic for our group, beautiful surroundings.
