Excellent stay, pub with rooms and free parking! Convenient walking distance from city centre and Grand Opera House Theatre.. Couldn't stay for breakfast as had to dash but it smelt good! Would stay again.

Very good for the price for the area. Very large room, comfortable clean bed and great drink facilities in room. Wonderful and helpful staff. Great relaxing pub atmosphere. Small car park which is a bonus. Relaxed breakfast atmosphere. Definitely be staying here again.

Had a wonderful stay at Gillygate. Fantastic location, near train station and main shopping area. The room was lovely, everything was explained, about heating and other facilities. We were in one of the rooms in a converted building at the back of the pub. And it was lovely. Beautifully decorated, comfy bed, lovely shower room. It was delightful. Staff were really helpful, and breakfast was fabulous. We will certainly return.

One night stay at The Gillygate

Stayed for one night. The room we got facec the road but it was not noisy. The location was superb because it was walking distance to many tourist places. Many restaurants & shops nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was very limited but no extra charges.
