The Neighborhood:

This home is set on the edge of Yucca Valley and Landers. Landers offers a serene, "off-the-beaten-path" vibe characterized by wide-open spaces, iconic sound baths, and some of the best stargazing in the High Desert.

Getting Around:

Many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.



Other Things to Note:

◎ POOL AND HOT TUB HEATING:

The hot tub is always free to heat. However, during the cooler months, there are extra charges for pool heating, see below. If you want the pool heated during these months, please let us know 48 hours before you arrive.



◎ Extra Charges for Pool Heating:

✓ May and Sept: $150 per night

✓ October and April: $200 per night

✓ November, December, March: $300 per night

✓ January and February: $300 per night



◎ No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the pool and hot tub area. No glass can be around the pool and hot tub, there are plastic cups in the kitchen to be used outside. Please mind the quiet hours (no loud noises after 10pm). No intoxicated persons may use the pool or hot tub. NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY - YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.



◎ EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.



◎ DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. The neighbor hosts a dog sanctuary and while they sometimes get excited with new arrivals, you cannot see anything nor hear a sound from the backyard nor inside the house. Lots of space and multiple fences separate this cottage from the neighbor, but we like to point this out as sometimes people hear the quantity of dogs from the driveway and want to make sure the dogs are safe.



◎ SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us!



◎ CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program.

My overall impression is that I am incredibly impressed with this beautiful property. It is the size I wanted for myself (for a solo trip). I needed nothing extra, everything I needed was there. It is peaceful, clean, comfortable and each and every detailed has a purpose. The linens, the furniture, the utensils, all of it was a pleasure to deal with. The pool was my haven and the fire pit added so much to the experience, watching the sunset while having dinner by the fire pit was pure bliss. So many animals come to the property! Hummingbirds, many species of birds, bees, butterflies, little desert squirrels, I even saw a shy coyote nearby. Every morning walking around the property was such a pleasure until the sun got too hot which then was time to go inside and enjoy the AC. I can't say more good things about this place. The people in charge are very nice and responsive. I want to come back and have already enlisted many people that will be visiting there too.
