I have mixed feelings about this accommodation. Let’s start with the positives.
The apartment itself is visually impressive and clearly benefits from thoughtful interior design. The living room is spacious, stylish, and exactly as pictured, while the bedroom was quiet. The double doors did an excellent job of blocking outside noise, despite a neighbour’s barking dog and nearby construction work.
Unfortunately, several aspects of the experience prevented the property from reaching its full potential.
The biggest issue was the entrance to the apartment. Guests must pass through what appears to be the rear service area of a restaurant, which felt poorly maintained and was often accompanied by unpleasant odours throughout the day. The contrast between the beautifully presented interior and the neglected access area is quite jarring, creating a disappointing first impression and making entering or leaving the property an unpleasant experience.
Comfort was another area where the apartment fell short. While the furnishings are undeniably attractive, the sofa and pillows were surprisingly uncomfortable and seemed to prioritise appearance over practicality. This is particularly disappointing because the apartment has all the ingredients of a hidden gem.
Overall, this is a property with a great deal of potential. With a more welcoming entrance experience and greater attention to guest comfort, it could easily justify a much higher rating.
