Location
In a quiet residential neighbourhood, this lovely apartment is only 35 minutes from Ban Jelacic Square, Zagreb’s main square in the Lower Town. The square is surrounded by some magnificent buildings from the late 19th Century onwards. Ilica Avenue leads off the square and is Zagreb’s longest shopping street. It is home to international and local brands as well as some good coffee shops.

There is so much to see and do in the city. From the stunning gothic cathedral and Tkalčićeva Street with its cafes in the Upper Town, to the quirky Museum of Broken Relationships. For something a little different, head out of Zagreb to Medvedgrad Castle (15 minute drive). This medieval castle on the slopes of Medvednica mountain offers magnificent views of Zagreb.

The city hosts many farmers’ markets where you can buy the best local produce to cook at home. The largest, Dolac market is 40 minutes away, here you can find the widest range of fresh local produce. Alternatively, Britanski Trg (British Square) is just 35 minutes from the apartment. During the week it is the place to shop for groceries with the locals and on Sunday the square turns into an antique fair where visitors can pick up some interesting and cool antiques.

Franjo Tudman International Airport in Zagreb, is a 35-minute drive away.
