Stunning Villa

We stayed in this villa for a week with elderly relatives. It is absolutely beautiful and has stunning views across the valley. You reach the villa from the main road which is only 15 mins to the airport. You do need a hired car as the drive from the main road is up a steep hill and when you reach the villa you have a narrow single road to negotiate with a steep drive up to the villa. You are able to turn your car around at the top of the drive but space is quite limited. Safe and confident driving is required. The inside of villa has everything you need for a lovely stay. It is fully equipped for self catering. The outside kitchen area by the pool is beautiful and equipped for outdoor dining. The views from every aspect of this villa is amazing. The pool was quite cold for this time of year but the jacuzzi upstairs is warmer with stunning views from this area accessed through both the bedrooms upstairs. The bedrooms have everything you need and the shower rooms are immaculate and have wonderful showers. The villa is owned by a family who live near by. They were excellent hosts and on arrival we were met by Paulina who gave us a tour and also kindly left bread, homemade wine and liqueurs as well as a meat platter for us to enjoy. We were also celebrating two anniversaries and she kindly made us a celebration cake which was lovely too. They also paid attention to the outdoor area while we were there and cleaned the pool if required and generally tidied up. We drove to Dubrovnik, approx 15/20 min drive, and parked which can be expensive so check the prices before parking. We used uber taxis to go back at night for a meal which were reasonably price. We drove to Kotor and Mostar while there. The speed limits make these trips longer but the views are spectacular. You need to take passports as you are stopped at the border. Our hosts also booked us a private speedboat trip at our request. They arranged a people carrier taxi to also pick us up and bring us home and the drivers were very efficient and friendly. Our skipper for the day was Matko and he was also very friendly. We also visited Cavtat where there are some lovely restaurants and bars and if you are there at the right time the sunset is stunning. Overall we had a lovely holiday at this villa which is equipped to a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa for a family looking for excellent accommodation in a beautiful area.
