Great location, disappointing amenities/services

Amazing for a remote get-away on the lake relatively close to Zurich; terrible for business trips that require a stable internet connection. Cons: - WiFi is HORRIBLE (could barely load basic websites), not suitable for business trips - Rooms are small and underequipped: small LCD TV, no fridge/minibar, no international/EU wall plugs - "Lake View" rooms are mostly blocked by tall trees; not worth the premium price - Breakfast was underwhelming, especially considering the highly rated restaurant Pros: - Fantastic location: very quiet, directly next to Lake Zurich (100m to the water), great views from the restaurant and the front of the building - Plenty of free parking - Very friendly staff

Beautiful location with excellent service

Amazing location for views and fresh air. Excellent room, great linens, great breakfast, wonderful staff. Close to train station- good for travel but can be a little bit noisy if you have your window open. WiFi was a bit slow.

The hotel was amazing as well as the service. However it was 37 degrees and they had no air conditioning? Other first class in Switzerland had the same problem.

Spectacular setting on the lake with pleasant walks to a lovely castle with a fascinating history. Superb dining on the freshest fish and impeccable gracious service.

Nice setting, shame about the mosquitoes

Welcoming staff, great service at dinner, nice food although breakfast was only average. This is a popular local restaurant among the vineyards and away from the built-up area. It has a small number of rooms though clearly the restaurant is the main focus. The room was clean and comfortable, but badly let down by the window being open when I arrived in the evening, which allowed in a number of mosquitoes which proceeded to torment me in the night. The peace was also disturbed by some late-night hoovering above, and by poor sound insulation in the building. So a bad night spoiled what would otherwise have been a pleasant stay.

Swiss country restaurant with rooms

Primarily a restaurant, this country inn has a few rooms in a new wing which are typically Swiss -- immaculately clean and efficient. It sits at the top of an undeveloped peninsula on Lake Zurich only a few miles south of the city of Zurich. Immediate surroundings include vineyards, forest, pasture, and a park surrounding a large manor house near the shore at the northern edge of the peninsula, so it preserves a decidedly rural character despite the extensive development elsewhere along the lake. Service is good -- it was a little slow at the restaurant the evening we were there, but entirely correct. Food is excellent. Parking is easy and convenient in a large lot.

Schönes Boutique Hotel in traumhafter Lage

Sehr schönes Boutique Hotel in traumhafter Lage auf dem Hügel mit tollem Blick über dem Zürichsee. Die Halbinsel Au ist geprägt von Wein- und Obstanbau und lädt zum erholen und spazieren ein. Vom Ort aus (Waedenswil) gibt es eine direkte Schnellzugverbindung nach Zürich (25 min). Auch das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, insgesamt ein tolles Hotel mit Charm und gutem Service!

schöne Lage und sehr netter Service

Schöne, ruhige Lage, sehr freundliches Personal und ein schönes Ambiente. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und modern eingerichtet, das Restaurant bietet eine schöne Auswahl and Speisen zu guten (Schweiz üblichen) Preisen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls inklusive und ausreichend. Gute Anbindung via A3 oder Seestrasse bzw. Schiffsanleger. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
