Know before you book

  • Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before your tour's departure time.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately.
  • If booking your own accommodation, it must be within 2km of Portree town centre.
  • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or a full refund.
  • Minimum age is 4 years.
  • Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark.
  • Luggage is restricted to one medium sized suitcase per person. For guidance: a medium sized suitcase is considered 60-69cm high and roughly 45cm in width.
  • Please note: Eilean Donan Castle will be closed on the following dates: 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 15th, 16th & 24th November 2024. We will still visit the castle for a photo stop.
  • If you are driving, we recommend parking at the Old Town Rose Street Multi-Storey Car Park, 24 Rose St, IV1 1NQ, conveniently located next to our departure point.
  • Please note: The Fairy Pools will be inaccessible from the 4th November until 18th November inclusive.
  • In accordance with EU regulations about consumer rights, activities services are not subject to the right of withdrawal. Supplier cancellation policy will apply.

We were eager to go on this tour and glad we finally went. Marita did a fabulous job in providing the tour and history. She also played a wide variety of Scottish music and songs from Scottish artists. The tour itself was packed with familiar and even unfamiliar activities. Definitely a tour we would definitely recommend!

Great 2 day tour of the Isle of Sky and Scottish Highlands. What’s best about this tour is that you have a guide driving you through everything and the days are planned out. So you can see 4-5 sights in a day, have breakfast/lunch, and rest in the van. Andy S was a great steward, had great Scottish music, and provided great flexibility at stops. I particularly loved Quirang and the Fairy Pools, as we had 2/1 hour respectively to explore and hike. Overall, great trip and so much easier than renting a car and doing it on your own.

Our guide Tonks was great! She told us so much folklore of each of the places we went, had great Scottish music, and the places were breathtaking and unique. Would I recommend this tour? It was the best tour I’ve taken on my trip!

Wish I could give 0 stars- the overnight tour was cancelled by Timberbush THREE days before the date and we ended up charged for a hotel in Portree (which required 5 days to cancel). They basically said too bad, so sad. We found out from another Timberbysh employee it was cancelled due to a road closure near the Fairy pools. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY- never again. *choise Rabbies tours: small groups, less costly, more interactive*
