Khinalug

In the 1st day, after greeting at the meeting point guests will be transferred to Khinalug village. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Khinalug led by a local expert, exploring its unique architecture, ancient language, and preserved highland lifestyle. Free time allows for independent discovery and interaction with village life, set against dramatic mountain scenery above the cloud line. The experience concludes with an overnight stay in a carefully selected traditional village house, offering comfort, authenticity, and a peaceful escape from urban life. Total duration exceeds 6 hours, including travel and village immersion. Qechresh

Following a mountain sunrise and breakfast prepared with traditional methods, the second day transitions from Khinalug’s high-altitude stillness to the cultural and natural landscapes of Guba. The journey begins with a one-hour transfer from Khinalug to Qechresh Forest, a serene enclave of tall beech trees and shaded walking paths that define the region’s lush lowland terrain. This initial stop contrasts dramatically with the rocky elevation of the day before, underscoring the ecological range of northern Azerbaijan.

The itinerary continues with a visit to the Gedim Guba Carpet Weaving Centre- an institution preserving centuries-old techniques passed down through female artisans. Here, travellers observe the craftsmanship, colour theory and material detail that elevate Azerbaijani carpet making into a globally recognised art form. The on-site boutique provides access to authentic handmade pieces rarely available outside the region.

Qusar bazarı

A short drive brings the group to the Guba Bazaar, where seasonal produce, handmade goods and everyday essentials reflect the rhythms of local life. This is a working market, not a performance, offering travellers an unfiltered view of the town’s economic and social exchanges. Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant selected for its regional menu and quality of preparation. The meal serves as a cultural marker, ingredients are locally sourced, and the preparation methods speak to culinary continuity across Guba’s ethnic communities.

Red Village

In the afternoon, the tour explores the Red Village, home to one of the world’s largest Mountain Jewish populations.
