Archery in nature offers an active yet peaceful outdoor experience on a private forest property. Upon arrival, you will first be greeted and given a structured introduction by a certified shooting instructor and certified archer. You will learn the most important safety rules, the structure of the gear, and the basics of instinctive archery. The focus is initially on posture, breathing, and a clean sequence of movements, so that both beginners and experienced participants can get off to an optimal start.
During the first section of the activity, which lasts about six hours, you will start with classic target shooting. This phase serves to develop a feel for the bow and improve your personal technique. The instructor will supervise you individually and provide guidance on posture, the anchor point, and how to aim at the target. Participants with prior experience also benefit from this phase to refine their technique or learn new approaches.
As you continue, you will switch from the classic targets to realistic 3D animal targets. These lifelike targets made of a special rubber material ensure a particularly authentic experience and add extra variety to the training. Different distances and different shooting angles are integrated. In addition, you will have the opportunity to shoot from different heights – for example, slightly uphill or downhill – to practice adapting to natural terrain conditions.
In addition, selected survival elements are incorporated into the activity. These impart basic knowledge of nature and strengthen awareness of the surroundings, terrain, and safe movement in the forest. This creates a versatile experience that promotes concentration, coordination, and attention, while at the same time strengthening the connection to nature.
The activity is for participants between 12 and 99 years old and is suitable for both beginners and experienced archers. You are welcome to bring your own gear; alternatively, the organiser will provide all the gear. A bathroom is available on site. Please note that no food or drinks are provided, so bring enough water and your own food.
