What you can expect

We meet at 10:00 AM in Montenerodomo where, after parking our cars, we will introduce ourselves and the guide will have the opportunity to present the schedule for the day we will spend together.
We will take the Sentiero dei Monti Carricini for a short 3.5 km return hike to the crest of Monte di Maio, where there will be a short break to admire the scenery. After heading back along the same route, we will return to the cars and arrive at the farmhouse at 11:20 AM. Here we will find a station outside the facility under the trees (or inside depending on the weather conditions) ready for the cheese-making workshop, which will last about an hour. We will be busy curdling the freshly milked milk to make a fresh caciottina while we listen to some interesting facts about cheese-making, particularly about the traditional “Cacio Morra”. At the end of the workshop, we will enjoy a light lunch of locally produced specialities from the farm, with drinks and coffee included. The experience will end at 3:00 PM after visiting the farm animals. At the end of the activity, it will be possible to visit the archaeological site of Iuvanum (not included in the price)
