Know before you book

  • Children 2 and younger are complimentary.
  • You must be 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to consume alcohol.
  • You must be able to walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.
  • Adults visiting Chichen Itza must pay an admission fee of 40 USD per person for international visitors and 22 USD for Mexican citizens. A fee of 6 USD applies to children regardless of nationality. Fees are payable on the day of the activity.
  • If you book an option with hotel pickup, you will receive confirmation of your exact pick-up time when you call to confirm your reservation. Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
  • If you did not select an option with hotel pickup, the Cancun meeting points are the Crab House Restaurant in the Hotel Zone and Oasis Smart in city centre. In Playa del Carmen, meet at Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen. And in Tulum, the meeting point for all guests is the Super Akí supermarket.
  • Pickup from Costa Mujeres hotels is only available on Mondays,Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please make sure to select one of these days if you are staying in Costa Mujeres.
  • In accordance with EU regulations about consumer rights, activities services are not subject to the right of withdrawal. Supplier cancellation policy will apply.

What you can expect

Explore one of the New Seven Wonders of the World on this complete day tour to legendary Chichen Itza and the famous Kukulcan Pyramid. Learn about the vast archaeological site of Chichén Itzá, cool off with a dip in a serene cenote, and snap colourful photos in colonial Valladolid, complete with a tasty buffet lunch and a spacious coach ride between each stop.

You start the day with (optional) pickup from your hotel and a visit to Cenote Xunáan, a cavernous freshwater pool in a light-filled limestone cave, and dive in for a surreal swim.

Next, you can tuck into a buffet lunch of classic Maya dishes like slow-cooked, marinated pork before you hop back on the bus for the last leg of the drive to Chichén Itzá. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features excavated ruins and well-preserved temples, including the iconic Pyramid of Kukulcan and the Great Ball Court, some of the grandest and best-preserved structures of their kind.

Once you've had a look at the nearby Sacred Cenote, climb back into the comfort of the bus. Your final stop is in the quiet city of Valladolid, where the colonial-era pastel walls of shops and restaurants offer a colourful backdrop for photos before the return trip that brings your tour to a close.

The entire experience was amazing; however the food was okay not bad but needed seasoning and would have been easier to automatically inckude the drinks! The tour guides were very informative.!We loved the tour!

we purchased the tickets 14 hours in advance, they didn’t show up or called for pickup even as we buy the expensive version which have hotel pick up. we called them couple times, nobody answered, even expidia could not get in touch with them, no email or anything. we ended up to ask expidia for refund, but we lost a day do nothing

We enjoyed the tour guide giving us a history lesson on the way there and had lots of laughs. The day felt rushed but that was expected as we had a lot to do. The part that was upsetting is the bus dropped us off on the street in front of our resort in the dark. I was nervous being in another country on the street. We had to walk all the way back up to the resort. I expected them to take us up to the front of the resort. For the reason I won't use them for any excursions again.

We spent 8 hours on the bus total traveling to each destination. We were also being ignored and skipped over on the bus when the guide was going around selling sunscreen and insect repellent for the tour, because ours was not biodegradable so we couldn't bring it. Then we got left behind from our guide and lost. We were treated so disrespectfully from the start. The bus started to leave without us at the last stop even though we had 5 more minutes to get to the bus. When we got to it the guide pointed at us, shook her head, and rolled her eyes. They had already started moving. At the end of the tour when we got back, hours after we were supposed to get back, we were literally forced to tip them a minimum of 10 dollars. Horrible experience. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. We also missed the included lunch buffet when we got left behind and lost and almost passed out from hunger in the heat because we got on the bus at 7AM and didnt return to the hotel until after 9pm. We both cried

Everything was fine and well planned except for lunch, could have been arranged better (I understand it’s local food). They charge you for water too - $3 USD which is ridiculous.
