What you can expect

Embark on an unforgettable journey to two of Japan’s most iconic destinations: Miyajima Island and Hiroshima (if the full option is selected). This tour seamlessly blends history, culture, and breathtaking scenery, offering a truly immersive experience.

From Hiroshima, you will travel to the coast to board a ferry to the charming island of Miyajima. Known for its peaceful atmosphere and stunning natural beauty, the island is home to Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its famous floating torii gate, which appears to rise from the water at high tide, is one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks and the perfect backdrop for memorable photos.

On the island, you can stroll through picturesque streets, visit historic temples, and sample local delicacies such as the renowned oysters and momiji manju, maple leaf-shaped pastries. You may also encounter friendly deer roaming freely, adding a unique charm to the visit.

After your time on Miyajima, you will return to Hiroshima by ferry, where the tour concludes for those who selected the Miyajima-only option. For those who chose the full experience, the next stop is the Peace Memorial Park. Here you will find the Peace Memorial, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and other monuments honouring the victims of the 1945 bombing, offering a space to reflect on world peace and the resilience of the Japanese people.

After a day filled with history, culture, and nature, the tour ends at Hiroshima Station, leaving you with lasting memories of two of Japan’s most captivating destinations.
