La Paz sits at the confluence of the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez — some of the most productive sportfishing water in the world. Roosterfish are The Hook's specialty, and every roosterfish caught on our boats is caught and released. These fish are too valuable to the ecosystem and too rare anywhere else on earth to keep. Departures are from Ensenada de Muertos with captains from Agua Amarga who have fished these waters their entire lives. Maximum 4 anglers per boat (2 recommended for the best experience). Bait is included. Fly rods available to rent. Beyond roosterfish you may encounter dorado, yellowtail, wahoo, and marlin depending on season. The captain makes all decisions on where to fish based on conditions that day — trust the local knowledge. What's included: experienced captain, bait, all tackle for conventional fishing, fuel, ice.
