What you can expect

Set off on a memorable wildlife adventure from the southern coastal towns of Hikkaduwa, Galle, Unawatuna, Thalpe, Habaraduwa, Ahangama , Weligama, Mirissa, Matara, Hiriketiya or Tangalle to Udawalawe National Park and the Elephant Transit Home.

Enjoy a comfortable hotel pickup in a luxury air-conditioned car and head to Udawalawa for an early morning safari. Travel through the park in a customised 4x4 jeep with an expert guide, spotting herds of wild elephants, buffalo, deer, and a variety of birdlife in their natural habitat.

After the safari, visit the Elephant Transit Home during one of its feeding times (10:30 AM, 2:30 PM, or 6:00 PM). Watch young orphaned elephants being cared for as they prepare to return to the wild—an inspiring glimpse into Sri Lanka’s conservation efforts.
