Overview

Not a simple tour, but the beating of the heart of Puglia.

What makes our experience between Polignano a Mare and Monopoli unique are not only the legendary caves or the crystal blue, but the pace at which we discover them. In a running world, we chose calm. We sail in no hurry, leaving you time to breathe in the sea air, admire every reflection of light and take the perfect photo without any pressure.

But the real secret of the tour is the soul that Guides it. The skipper is not only a sea Expert, but the guardian of our land: with his contagious joy and his spontaneous songs, he will make you experience the authentic warmth of Puglia. Between an Italian melody and a sea tale, you will not be simple tourists, but guests of honour of our large family.

Activity itinerary

La Torre d'Incina

  • 5m
As we approach the coast, you'll see the majestic Incina Tower towering over the cliff. It is one of the ancient watchtowers of the sixteenth century, framed by a sea that fades from turquoise to deep blue. We will tell you how the Tower served to protect our land, becoming a beacon of hope for local people. Get your phones and cameras ready! We will make a strategic stop right in front of the tower.

Grotticella Sella

  • 5m
Its name derives from the particular shape of the rock that protrudes from the sea at the end of the cave, which impressively resembles a horse saddle. This training is an easy reference point to recognise even from a distance. But the real magic is inside. The Sella Cave is an "open-air" cave in some places, thanks to a large hole on the top of the vault. This opening acts as a natural skylight: at midday, when the sun is at its zenith, a vertical beam of light illuminates the centre of the cave like a theatrical spotlight, making the water almost unreal transparency.

Cave of Pigeons

  • 5m
Continuing the navigation to the south, we meet one of the most romantic and suggestive stops: the Grotto of Love. The name is not accidental and comes from a truly unique optical and morphological Superstar that attracts couples and dreamers from everywhere. Inside the cave, looking upwards, you can see a natural opening in the rock. When sunlight penetrates through this hole and is reflected off the surface of the water or damp walls, it creates a reflected image that is incredibly reminiscent of the shape of a heart.

Cala Sala (Portacola)

  • 5m
There is a corner of Polignano where time has stopped racing to leave room for poetry. It is the Fishermen's Village, a handful of houses set in the rock of Port'Alga that seem to whisper stories of the sea to anyone who approaches with the boat. From the boat, the visual impact is dazzling: the whitewashed walls, painted in whitewash as tradition dictates to reflect the sun, collides with the intense blue of the doors and windows. It is a chromatic reference to the sky and the sea that surrounds these small dwellings.

Scoglio dell'Eremita

  • 5m
You will see an imposing rock, completely detached from the mainland, soaring skyward. It is a wild place, now a special protection area, where nature reigns supreme. We will observe the steep walls where the rare Corsican seagull often likes to rest. It is a show of pure strength: the rock that breaks the waves, standing there, motionless and majestic. I will tell you the storey that gives its name to this place. It is said that, in ancient times, a man chose to abandon wealth and social life to retire to live right on the top of this rock, in total solitude and prayer.

Grotte di Pietro e Paolo

  • 5m
Two majestic natural arches that rise like guardians, paving the way for waters of a turquoise so intense as to take your breath away.

Grotta Ardito delle Caldaie

  • 5m
Majestic and imposing, with its natural terrace overlooking the blue abyss, it offers one of the most spectacular views of the coast.

Grotta Palazzese

  • 5m
Formerly known as the “Palace Cave”, this immense natural cavity is famous throughout the world for being home to one of the most exclusive restaurants on the planet. But beyond luxury and worldliness, the cave itself is a masterpiece of nature.

Lama Monachile

  • 5m
If there is one image that sums up the magic of Puglia in the world, it is this. But forget the crowds on the bridge: with PUGLIENZO, you will experience it from the only perspective that allows you to feel part of the postcard. We will slowly enter that natural rift where the blue of the sea kisses the white pebbles of the most famous beach in Italy. In Blue Painted Blue: The Tribute to Domenico Modugno We cannot leave this cove without devoting a thought to those who made Polignano eternal in the world: Domenico Modugno. Looking out over the cliff, you can see the silhouette of his statue that, with open arms, seems to want to embrace the sea and the wind.
