Zhijindong, located in Zhijin County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is a multi-layered, multi-stage, multi-category, and multi-form complete karst system. It was formed by geological changes over hundreds of millions of years.
The cave boasts vast spaces, with its widest point reaching 175 metres, a relative height difference exceeding 150 metres, and a total volume of up to 5 million cubic metres. The cave is filled with over 40 types of cave deposits, including stalagmites, stalactites, stone flowers, and stone curtains, all in various shapes and forms, resembling a natural underground art palace.
Upon entering Zhijindong, follow a carefully designed tour route, passing through various halls of this “underground celestial palace.” The first sight to behold is the “Twin Lion Welcoming Hall,” where colossal stone lions appear lifelike, as if welcoming distant guests.
