What you can expect

The painting class is designed for anyone interested in exploring abstract-style painting using palette knives, welcoming beginners who want to discover non-traditional painting techniques. This 1.5-hour experience is divided into four parts:

Introduction (10 minutes)

Meet your instructor and fellow participants.
Brief discussion on abstract and non-representational art.
Overview of materials and tools used during the session.

Demonstration (10 minutes)

Watch a step-by-step demonstration on how to begin your abstract painting.
Learn how to use acrylic or water-based paints, chosen for their quick-drying properties.

Production Time (60 minutes)

First 10 minutes: Set up your canvas and practice using palette knives to become comfortable with the technique.
Remaining 50 minutes: Create your own abstract artwork with personalised guidance and feedback from the instructor.

Wrap-Up (10 minutes)

Wrap up, wash your hands, and reflect on your art-making experience.
