What you can expect

Make the most of your time in Paris with a guided tour of the Louvre, Montmartre, and Ile de la Cité to see the restoration of Notre-Dame before ending your day in Trocadero Square to see the Eiffel Tower. On this tour you'll get to know the City of Lights and check attractions off your sightseeing bucket list during an invigorating tour through the French capital.

Launch your adventure with a funicular ride to see the Sacré Cœur Basilica in Montmartre. Feel your heart soar as you ascend through the 18th arrondissement and ogle at the white-stone façade of the Sacré Cœur without having to trudge up the neighborhood's more than 300 stone steps. Follow your guide for a walking tour of the area, visiting its very own vineyard and iconic windmills. Sit down at a charming French cafe to enjoy a coffee and croissant (not included in price).

Hop on the metro with your guide and head to the Louvre Museum. With pre-reserved tickets, you'll enjoy a 90-minute guided tour and see great works like the Mona Lisa and more accompanied by stories from your expert guide.

Before moving on to the next stop, delight in a 1-hour break and enjoy lunch at your own expense. Duck inside a French bistro or poke into a patisserie and dine on a crusty baguette, fresh fromage, and an energising espresso.

The tour continues with a walking tour of Île de la Cité, an island in the middle of the Seine River and the birthplace of Paris. Severely damaged by a recent fire, Notre-Dame de Paris still stands proudly in the heart of the city. Your guide will bring you as close as the ongoing restoration will permit to give you the best views possible. Your guide will also point out several monuments including the building where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned, Paris' prettiest square Place Dauphine, and the gorgeous Pont Neuf bridge.

As afternoon stretches towards evening, hop on the Metro for one last trip to Trocadero Square for a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. Your guide will show you where to purchase tickets to climb to the top if you're interested. Before saying farewell to your guide, they will also give you a ticket to board a Seine river cruise as the streetlights cast their dreamy glow on the water, or save your river excursion for the following morning.

Our tour guide was excellent and helpful. Unfortunately it was a 34 degree day and my 7 year old daughter struggled to stay focused, so we took a break and tried to rejoin the tour later. Parents of small children might wish to bring over-ear headphones to plug in to the commentary device as the in-ear phone is a little big for small ears. Unfortunately we couldn’t find our group again at the Louvre (it was busy and therefore tricky to find them even though we were on time) so we missed that part of the tour. But the Seine boat trip was amazing. Do bring headphones if you want to hear the commentary for that part on the upper open air deck as there is a smartphone app to use. The commentary headsets provided by the boat are only downstairs where the view is limited. Sadly it was way too hot for a little girl to go up the Eiffel Tower but we had great fun being near it.

Our tour guide Felix was excellent as a former history professor his knowledge of the areas and sites we visited was phenomenal. He was humorous and friendly. The tour is a great way to get your bearings of the highlights of the city and learn how to use the metro system. I highly recommend this for your first full day in Paris. I only wish I was staying longer because I would have loved to go back and spend a longer time and several of the sites. Felix gave us helpful information on what time was the best for saving wait time on the most popular sites. I made notes for my next visit to this amazing city.

It was really nice . The tour guide Adam is extremely knowledgeable and was engaging. We were also had Violetta who took us through the museum, she was really good. I managed to cover Paris in a day which was awesome
